Today was an eventful day!!! Kierra and Jackson both had swallow studies. Kierra went first and loved the barium just like her brother!!! She threw a mega fit when she was done and it was Jackson's turn. The radiology person gave her a sucker to calm her down and needless to say it worked, but we had a huge sticky mess. In her hair on her clothes along with the barium (Notice in the pictures below how messy her shirt is).

Her swallow study turned out good she just hardly chews and swallows the food whole and she drinks really fast like she hasn't had a drink in days. Basically my daughter is a pig to sum it up.

Jackson had his swallow study next and he was officially given a go for thin liquids. He had a hard time with the sticky substances and decreased awareness. We just have to make sure he drinks in between bites and hopefully eventually it will become a habit for him. He also enjoys barium and also is a piggy.

Next I took away Kierra's sucker because it was all over everything and we had to go see the Cardiologist. Well BAD idea when you are going for a blood pressure check because she threw another mondo fit.

When we got to the Cardiologist she was throwing herself on the floor and throwing toys people tried to give her to calm her down. Eventually the nurse went and got a newborn Binky (that was all they had) and stuck it in her mouth. Kierra started to calm down so the nurse brought out the blood pressure cuff to the waiting room because she didn't want her to throw another fit.

Her blood pressure was 121/60 the first time and the second time it had gone down to 101/58 which is still high for a child her age but normal for Kierra.

We were double checking due to the fact that she has now had 5 breath holding spells in the last three days.

The Cardiologist says it is not related to her heart or blood pressure and it is just her personality. Interesting huh? She doesn't get that from me, does she :) (Mom and Dad don't comment :)).

We are still waiting on news about Skyler's soccer tryouts.

Jackson pooped on his shirt at Target (Don't Ask) so we had to buy a new shirt and throw away the yucky shirt.

Kierra dumped my entire purse out on the floor at Target.

Tomorrow we are going to Lyra's first birthday party and we can't wait!!!

I put pictures and a video so you could see Kierra walking all over. I just love watching toddlers walk.

Kierra always carries shoes everywhere. It is an obsession of hers.

What if Dr Torriano didn't take an extra second to check Kierra before we left the hospital that day? What if Dr Garrabedian didn't take the time to do a echocardiagram before we left the hospital? What if ???
