2 things on my mind ...

Soccer

Pictures from our camping trip Memorial Weekend (playing catch up on the photos)

Okay first off this soccer thing is CRAZY !!! All I can say publicly is "What the?". Parent drama and thank goodness I am not a part of it.

So while I was sitting back watching all the drama unfold I was reflecting (even know this is totally random) on the ages of all the other parents. As you all know I had Skyler fairly young so when we go to school or sport functions with the other families we are usually always the youngest parents.

It's funny too because depending where you are or who the parents are you can just feel what they are thinking. In fact a lot of times people will talk or treat you a little bit different. Now don't get me wrong my feelings are not hurt and It doesn't upset me in the least bit. I just get a hoot out of it.

So back to the soccer thing. I am glad I am a younger parent because I look at these grumpy parents (not all just some) who look totally burnt out and can't seem to just enjoy the sport and enjoy watching their child play the game. It's a shame to because you can't get these moments back.

Okay then next ... I get on the computer after the kids are in bed I think in my head I am only going to check my email, but then I start reading one blog which turns into another blog. You might say this is not a problem but it is. The problem is I don't just read blogs I pick blogs that make me sad. I usually read about other heart babies but it is so overwhelming and sad to see how many sick children are out there and then I always feel helpless and sad for them and their families. Why do I do this to myself?

It's okay though because it is a great way to remind us how fragile life is and to embrace our own families and be blessed with what we have or have had. Also NEVER take a minute for granted.

Okay see there I go I just got done reading sad blogs and I have these deep thoughts.

I guess I should go rest up cause did I mention only THREE more DAYS till vacation. YA!!!

Kierra's Test Results

Oh Ya I totally forgot. Her EEG was normal. This is excellent news except the Dr said you can have three Normal EEGs then an abnormal one. So maybe good maybe not but I am sure happy with normal.

Count Down to Vacation time

Just a sneak peek at our adventures with Kenny

I am so ready for some time off !!! I have four more days at my summer job then I get a vacation. I go back to my regular job September 4th.

We have been busy busy. Soccer is back in full swing and so we go go everyday.

Kierra has been doing awesome on the potty. I think if we were home more she would be a champ. She tells me when she needs to pee or poop. Her favorite thing is to take off all her clothes and be naked on the potty. Tonight she even brushed her teeth while going potty.

Jackson is way excited to start Kindergarten (Booo Hoooo). He asks everyday "How much more days mom?". He pulls his backpack with his school supplies out all the time and just looks at them.

Skyler wanted to earn money so he spent 2 hours in the kitchen doing dishes, scrubbing the counters and taking out garbage tonight. I was so proud of him. You know what he wants money for? The new Madden game for the xbox. Lots of chores to go for that.

Mom we ate outside and watered the flowers just for you. The boys both took turns cleaning off the deck and watering the flowers.

Ok I Know I said I was back last time...

Kierra got her first real hair cut. Can you tell?

Kierra had an EEG today this is her in her pretties (that is what we told her). We won't get results till Tuesday or Wednesday. We want to make sure her breath holding isn't seizures.

We could only let her sleep from 12 am to 4 am. Glad that is over!!!

So as I take this journey with these children I have been blessed with I sometimes really have to sit back and laugh because they are such a hoot and I LOVE that because I love a sense of humor.

Skyler

Skyler is growing up WAY too fast. He is starting to ask questions that are sometimes hard to answer. Like one day we were driving down the road and a billboard said One in three has an STD.

Skyler says "Mom what is an STD" ? I have learned you have to be honest so I said "it stands for Sexually Transmitted Disease". In the back of my mind I am hoping that is the end of the conversation. Then Skyler responds with "How do you get that"? Oh man why that question? So I say "well when you have unprotected sex you can get an STD". Once again trying to change the subject. He says "Well how do they start"? Oh man really? I respond with "Well someone gets it from someone then they pass it to another person like a common cold". Skyler says " Well I'm just wondering how the first person to ever get an STD got it". I laughed and said what parents say when they want to end conversations "I don't know you should research it".
Jackson
Jackson starts freaking out today when we got home. So my mom and I are trying to figure out what is wrong. He starts saying "My shoes will have cow poop on them" and he is hysterical. We start freaking out thinking he has cow poop on his shoes so we are checking his shoes and smelling them and looking at the carpet. Then he says " I have to have shoes for the cow poop". We finally figure it out. At his summer program they are going on a field trip to a dairy farm and he very worried about getting cow poop on his shoes.
Kierra
Oh man this girl is into everything. The other day she got a bowl a spoon and the box of cheerios. She dumped the entire box of cereal into the bowl and all over the living room.
She also is little mama still taking care and bossing everyone. She checks the kids at school and Lyra's diapers. She sniffs and then pulls the back of their diaper open like we do to check her diaper. It is so cute.
She is also singing Patty cake and Twinkle twinkle little star.
Her favorite thing to do is take off her clothes and change into ours especially our underwear.
